Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2.5 years of recent CVOR RN experience (cardiovascular OR or cardiothoracic surgical experience)
• Active New Jersey RN license or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• EPIC charting experience required (EPIC experience preferred)
• Transplant experience (cardiac, lung, or kidney) highly preferred
• Ability to function as Circulating Nurse required; Scrub experience preferred
• Willingness to float to Main OR for Orthopedic & General cases
• Open to first-time travelers and local RNs; same pay rate applies

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert perioperative nursing care in the Cardiovascular Operating Room, including hybrid and endovascular procedures
• Circulate and scrub for complex cardiovascular and vascular surgeries: valve replacement, CABG, TAVR, aortic aneurysm repair, dissection, VATS, endovascular AAA, carotid endarterectomy, arteriogram, angiogram, TCAR, AV fistula, femoral-popliteal bypass graft
• Collaborate with cardiothoracic surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Float to Main OR as needed for Ortho, General, Laparoscopic, GYN, Robotic, Neuro, Vascular, and Pediatric surgeries
• Complete accurate, timely documentation using EPIC and maintain perioperative charts according to hospital standards
• Adhere to scheduling, on-call, and holiday requirements and demonstrate flexibility in a high-volume surgical environment
• Follow infection control, patient safety, and perioperative best practices for cardiovascular surgery

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

• Cardiothoracic or CVOR certification
• Experience in transplant cardiothoracic programs or high-acuity cardiovascular units
• Perfusion room familiarity or prior hybrid OR experience
