Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ recent clinical experience in Stepdown, Intermediate Care (IMC), or Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Previous travel nursing experience required (travel RN)
• Active RN license in Delaware or Compact Nursing License (Nurse Licensure Compact)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• COVID-19 and seasonal influenza vaccinations required per facility policy

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for cardiac stepdown patients, including telemetry monitoring and hemodynamic assessment
• Manage patients transitioning from the ICU to stepdown care and coordinate safe handoffs
• Float to Stepdown, Medical-Surgical, Clinical Decision Unit (CDU), and Emergency Department holds as needed
• Document accurately and timely in Cerner; maintain compliance with charting and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, case managers, therapists) to optimize patient outcomes
• Follow safety, infection control, and quality improvement protocols consistent with acute care nursing standards
