• Assignment Type: Travel Contract (Travel Nurse, 13-week assignment)
• Unit: Endoscopy – Procedure Center (Endoscopy Nurse / Perioperative Nurse)
• Shift: 8 Hour Days; 8-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday (Pre/Post-Op RN schedule)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 5/11/2026 – End: 8/13/2026)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,620 – $2,760 (competitive pay for travel RN roles)
• Mandatory Overtime: May be required as part of the rotation pool to ensure unit coverage
• Float: Not required

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Connecticut RN license preferred)
• Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in Pre/Post-Op or perioperative settings
• Endoscopy experience highly preferred (Endoscopy RN or GI procedure experience)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• NIH Stroke Scale certification (must be current)
• Strong communication, patient advocacy, and teamwork skills in fast-paced clinical environments

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care to patients in the Endoscopy Procedure Center, focusing on pre-op and post-op care for GI procedures
• Monitor, assess, and document patient status before and after procedures to ensure safety and comfort
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and follow endoscopy-specific protocols
• Collaborate closely with physicians, anesthetists, and multidisciplinary team members to support optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical record documentation
• Participate in mandatory overtime rotation as needed to maintain unit coverage
