Job Details
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,820 – $1,910
- Location: Rockford, Illinois (61104)
- Role: Neuro Registered Nurse / Neuro RN (Travel Nurse)
- Unit: Neuro Med/Surg – 8th Floor
- Shift: 12-hour nights, 3 shifts per week; every other weekend required
- Hours: Guaranteed 36 hours per week
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 5/18/2026 – End: 8/15/2026)
- Employment Type: Travel nursing assignment
Requirements & Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
- Minimum 2 years recent Neuro Med/Surg nursing experience in a mid-to-large hospital setting
- Medical/Surgical certification (Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical)
- Ability to work night shifts and every other weekend as required
- Strong clinical assessment skills, medication administration experience, and adaptability in fast-paced environments
- No local candidates within a 50-mile radius of Rockford, IL (travel candidate required)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to neuro-medical and neuro-surgical patients
- Monitor patient progress, perform assessments, and administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes in the electronic health record
- Educate and support patients and families regarding diagnoses, procedures, and discharge planning
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and regulatory standards
