• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,520 – $1,640
• Location: Dyersburg, TN 38024 — Tennessee respiratory therapy jobs / Dyersburg healthcare
• Setting: Hospital – Respiratory Therapy Department (acute care)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 5/11/2026 – End: 8/10/2026)
• Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (17:45 – 06:15); every other weekend required

Respiratory Therapist Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent clinical experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Active Tennessee RRT license or Compact State RRT license accepted
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP
• ABG endorsement (arterial blood gas puncture and analysis) required
• Epic charting system experience within the last 12 months (must be detailed in profile); must pass Epic competency exam (one attempt)
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical or religious exemptions for COVID-19 only)
• Ability to assess and perform respiratory care across neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics

Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive respiratory care including intubation, mechanical ventilation management, and arterial blood gas interpretation
• Perform ABG sampling, analysis, and documentation in Epic
• Deliver care across all age groups: neonates, infants, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Set up and manage aerosol therapies, CPAP/BiPAP, and high-flow nasal cannula
• Participate in ventilator weaning protocols and collaborate on patient respiratory plans of care
• Provide tracheostomy care, suctioning, and airway management
• Assist in high-risk deliveries and perform EKGs on hospital floors (excluding ED)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Physical Therapy, Radiology, Pharmacy, and Rapid Response
• Float to other units as needed to support hospital respiratory services
