• Setting: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) – PICU RN / pediatric critical care nurse
• Contract Type: Travel RN (13-week travel contract)
• Start Date: May 15, 2026
• End Date: August 14, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM); 3 shifts per week (night shift nursing)
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250 – $2,370

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum 18 months recent, permanent PICU experience prior to travel assignments – pediatric critical care nurse required
• Experience with epilepsy monitoring and specialized care for patients through age 25
• Active, permanent Ohio RN license OR Compact State RN license in hand at time of submission
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA or American Red Cross)
• Clinical experience with EKG/ECG interpretation and inotropes required; NIHSS preferred
• One supervisory reference in specialty (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director)
• Must pass ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation
• COVID-19 and seasonal flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)

Responsibilities – PICU RN / Travel Nurse Duties

• Provide high-quality, compassionate pediatric critical care to infants, children, and young adults in the PICU
• Monitor and manage complex, critically ill patients, including neurological and epilepsy-related cases
• Administer medications, titrate inotropes, manage ventilators and specialized monitoring equipment
• Interpret EKG/ECG strips and recognize cardiac rhythms; participate in resuscitation as needed
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
• Accurately document patient status, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record
• Complete required competency assessments and ongoing education modules during assignment
• Work every other holiday as required by the unit
