Job Details

• Position: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) – Travel RN / Perioperative Nurse
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,120 - $2,230
• Location: Memphis, TN 38116 (Tennessee travel nurse opportunity)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 18, 2026 – August 17, 2026)
• Shift: 5x8-hour day shifts (Monday–Friday, 06:45 – 15:15) with call required
• Employment Type: Travel, On-Site (Travel RN assignment)

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years recent Operating Room RN experience with prior travel assignment, or 3 years OR experience if no travel history (Perioperative RN or Surgical RN)
• Active RN license in Tennessee or a compact/NLC state (must comply with NLC guidelines)
• Must live at least 100 miles from the facility (strict travel nurse requirement)
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
• BLS certification required; influenza vaccination required (no exemptions)
• At least 1 completed previous travel assignment preferred
• Cerner charting experience preferred (electronic health record experience)
• Willingness to work 2 out of 3 major holidays if the assignment overlaps Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's

Responsibilities

• Serve as OR Circulator and perioperative RN, ensuring patient safety and supporting the surgical team throughout procedures
• Assist with pre-operative assessments and post-operative patient care in PACU and OR settings
• Maintain accurate documentation in Cerner and adhere to facility protocols and surgical safety checklists
• Participate in on-call rotation (late team call details discussed during interview)
• Float between like units and campuses within 20 miles as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (surgeons, anesthesia, PACU staff) to deliver high-quality perioperative care
