Job Details

• Role: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) / Perioperative RN / Travel Nurse
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1910 - $2010 (competitive travel nurse pay)
• Location: Jackson, TN (38301) — Jackson Tennessee travel nursing job
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: May 11, 2026
• Shift: Day shift, 3x12-hour (8:45 AM – 9:15 PM)
• Weekend On-Call: 1-2 weekend calls per month; holiday on-call shifts as applicable
• Patient Population: Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
• Facility: 42 operating rooms, daily census of 100 — high-volume surgical center

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience (circulating in all surgical areas except CV Surgery)
• Current and valid Registered Nurse license (Compact or Tennessee RN license)
• Current AHA BLS and NIHSS certifications
• Epic charting experience within the last 12 months (must pass competency exam)
• Ability to float within skill set if needed — perioperative flexibility required
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions for COVID-19 only)
• References required

Key Responsibilities

• Circulate for a wide range of surgical cases including craniotomies, laparoscopic, endovascular, orthopedics, GYN, urology, and robotic surgeries
• Maintain patient safety and deliver high-quality perioperative care as an OR RN / Surgical Nurse
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV, respiratory, radiology, and social services
• Float to other units within skill set as needed
• Participate in weekend and holiday on-call rotations
• Document care accurately using Epic EMR and maintain compliance with documentation standards
