Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1910 - $2010
- Location: Memphis, TN (38103) — downtown Memphis, riverfront, and vibrant music scene
- Facility: Level IV NICU at a leading children's hospital and Level I Pediatric Trauma Center
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (May 18, 2026 – August 17, 2026)
- Shift: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (07:00 – 19:00)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekend & Holiday Requirement: As needed; must be willing to work holidays per facility guidelines
- Travel Nursing Role: Travel RN / Travel NICU RN position—Memphis travel nurse opportunity
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 2 years Level IV NICU experience required (strict). First-time travel nurses accepted with 3+ years Level IV NICU experience.
- Travel Experience: At least 1 completed previous travel assignment preferred
- License: Active RN license in Tennessee or compact state (must comply with NLC guidelines; no pending licenses accepted)
- Education: BSN preferred; ADN accepted
- Local Radius Rule: Must live at least 100 miles from facility (strict)
- Health & Compliance: Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
- Documentation & Systems: Cerner charting experience preferred
- Certifications: BLS required; neonatal specialty certifications (NRP, CNCC or similar) are a plus
Responsibilities
- Deliver specialized, evidence-based nursing care for critically ill newborns in a Level IV NICU (neonatal nursing).
- Attend deliveries and serve as the resuscitation nurse for newborns (neonatal resuscitation, delivery room support).
- Provide family-centered care and education to parents and caregivers throughout the NICU stay.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including neonatologists, respiratory therapists, pediatric surgeons, and other neonatal care staff.
- Float between like units and nearby campuses (within 20 miles) as needed to support patient care.
- Maintain compliance with facility policies, including weekend and holiday coverage and documentation standards.
