• Shift: 12-hour days, rotating shifts (Days/Evenings/Nights); includes weekends, holidays, and on-call as needed
• Hours per Week: 36
• Setting: Joint Commission-accredited Comprehensive Stroke Center & Level 4 Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) — continuous video EEG

Job Requirements

• Active RN license in New York State (Registered Nurse required)
• Minimum 2 years recent experience in neuro, telemetry, or neuroscience nursing (Neuro RN / neurology nurse / telemetry nurse)
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Telemetry experience and ability to monitor/interpret cardiac telemetry
• NIHSS certification highly preferred (stroke nursing experience a plus)

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based care for patients with acute and complex neurological conditions (stroke, epilepsy, MS, Guillain-Barré Syndrome)
• Monitor, interpret, and respond to telemetry and continuous video EEG data as a neuroscience/EEG nurse
• Assess and manage seizures and stroke patients following established clinical protocols
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including neurologists, neurosurgeons, and rehab therapists to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients
• Document accurately in the EMR, support patient safety, and participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Participate in rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays, and on-call duties as required for travel nursing assignments
