Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,570 - $1,650
• Location: Oxford, NC (27565) — North Carolina travel nursing opportunity in a charming small town
• Position Type: Travel Nurse / Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (Med/Surg RN)
• Setting: Med/Surg (MS/Tele unit; Tele techs are separate)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 05/11/2026, End: 08/10/2026)
• Shift: Night shift, 3 x 12-hour (19:00 - 07:00) — ideal for experienced night shift RNs
• Hours per Week: 36
• Schedule Notes: Some weekends and holidays required

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg RN experience required (2 years preferred) — acute care or medical-surgical background preferred
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in North Carolina (must be active at time of submission)
• BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA only)
• IV start skills required; experience with medication administration and patient assessment
• Travel nursing experience preferred — previous travel nurse assignments are a plus
• 2 supervisory references required

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care on the Medical/Surgical (MS/Tele) unit as an RN
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, administer medications, and perform IV starts
• Provide telemetry monitoring and basic tele observation as appropriate for MS/Tele patients
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, techs, therapists) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Document patient information accurately using MEDITECH EMR (experience with MEDITECH helpful but not required)
• Participate in weekend and holiday coverage as needed
