Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,570 - $1,650
- Location: Oxford, NC (27565) — North Carolina travel nursing opportunity in a charming small town
- Position Type: Travel Nurse / Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (Med/Surg RN)
- Setting: Med/Surg (MS/Tele unit; Tele techs are separate)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 05/11/2026, End: 08/10/2026)
- Shift: Night shift, 3 x 12-hour (19:00 - 07:00) — ideal for experienced night shift RNs
- Hours per Week: 36
- Schedule Notes: Some weekends and holidays required
Qualifications / Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg RN experience required (2 years preferred) — acute care or medical-surgical background preferred
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in North Carolina (must be active at time of submission)
- BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA only)
- IV start skills required; experience with medication administration and patient assessment
- Travel nursing experience preferred — previous travel nurse assignments are a plus
- 2 supervisory references required
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care on the Medical/Surgical (MS/Tele) unit as an RN
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, administer medications, and perform IV starts
- Provide telemetry monitoring and basic tele observation as appropriate for MS/Tele patients
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, techs, therapists) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Document patient information accurately using MEDITECH EMR (experience with MEDITECH helpful but not required)
- Participate in weekend and holiday coverage as needed
