- Job Title: Endoscopy Registered Nurse (Endoscopy RN) – Travel Nurse
- Location: Rome, NY 13440 (Rome, Central New York / Upstate New York)
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,440 – $2,570
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 18, 2026 – August 16, 2026)
- Shift: 10-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday (4 shifts per week)
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
- Call: 6 days of call per month, possible weekend call
- Unit: Endoscopy / GI Procedures (ERCP)
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the United States
- Minimum 1 year of endoscopy nursing experience
- Demonstrated ERCP experience required
- Ability to respond to call rotation and urgent patient needs
- Familiarity with EMR systems; Paragon and Pyxis experience preferred
- Willingness to work within a 30-mile radius rule
Preferred / Additional Qualifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; ACLS preferred
- Prior travel nurse or contract experience in endoscopy/GI preferred
- Strong documentation skills and familiarity with peri-procedural nursing workflows
Responsibilities
- Assist with endoscopic procedures including ERCP and other diagnostic and therapeutic GI procedures
- Provide comprehensive patient care before, during, and after procedures (pre-procedure assessment, monitoring, recovery)
- Collaborate closely with gastroenterologists, general surgeons, anesthesiology, and perioperative staff
- Monitor and document patient status, interventions, and outcomes in the EMR (Paragon preferred)
- Participate in call rotation and respond promptly to urgent endoscopy cases
- Maintain a safe, sterile, and efficient endoscopy suite environment and adhere to infection control protocols
- Support patient education and discharge instructions related to GI procedures

- Strong critical thinking, prioritization, and communication skills
- Comfortable in a fast-paced procedural setting with variable patient acuity
- Team-oriented approach and ability to work independently as a travel nurse
