Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 - $2,010
- Location: Boston, Massachusetts (02114) – Boston nursing jobs with access to world-class dining, museums, and waterfront parks.
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (May 24, 2026 – August 22, 2026)
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Shift: 12-hour shifts, day/night rotating; flexible weekends/holidays
- Unit: Postpartum Blake 13 (postpartum/maternity unit, maternal-newborn care)
- Employment Type: Travel RN / Travel Nursing
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — Postpartum specialty required; valid Massachusetts RN license or ability to obtain one
- Minimum 1 year of travel RN experience in postpartum, antepartum, or maternal-newborn care
- Current BLS required; other unit-specific certifications may be requested
- Completion of required credentialing and health screenings (including MMR, TB test, fit test, and others as specified)
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Strong communication, patient education, and interpersonal skills—experience with breastfeeding support and newborn care preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive postpartum care to mothers and newborns, including maternal-newborn assessments and postpartum recovery monitoring
- Monitor patient recovery and intervene promptly to address complications
- Educate patients and families on postpartum care, newborn health, breastfeeding, and discharge teaching
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (OB, lactation consultants, pediatric staff) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation, follow hospital policies, and uphold high standards of patient safety and quality care
