• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (May 18, 2026 – August 17, 2026)
• Shift: Day Shift, 6:30am – 2:30pm, Monday–Friday (8-hour days)
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Call Coverage: Rotational call on weekdays, weekends, and holidays; occasional late days for high case loads
• Role Type: Travel Nurse, Operating Room Registered Nurse, Perioperative Nurse, Surgical Nurse

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Current Colorado RN license required (compact license accepted per state rules)
• Minimum 1 year clinical experience across Pre-op, OR/Circulator, and PACU; 3 years perioperative experience preferred
• ACLS certification required; CNOR and scrub experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique, instrument processing, and central sterile procedures
• Comfortable with physical demands: standing, walking, lifting; exposure to blood, body fluids, and infectious diseases
• Excellent communication skills and ability to perform effectively in high-stress, fast-paced surgical settings
• Experience documenting care in an electronic health record (EHR) and coordinating safe patient handoffs

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care across Pre-op, Operating Room (OR)/Circulator, and PACU as a perioperative nurse
• Prepare patients for surgery, perform perioperative assessments, and educate patients and families on surgical processes
• Circulate surgical cases, assist with instrument/equipment processing, and support central sterile operations
• Coordinate patient transfers and recovery, ensuring safe handoffs between departments and continuity of care
• Document care accurately in the EHR and communicate effectively with anesthesia, surgeons, and ancillary teams
• Adhere to infection control principles, safety protocols, and departmental policies to maintain high-quality surgical outcomes
• Report to the Surgical Services Manager and collaborate with the perioperative team to optimize workflow
