Job Details

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 5/11/2026 – End: 8/10/2026)
• Position: Cath Lab Registered Nurse / Cardiac Cath Lab RN (Travel Nurse)
• Setting: Cath Lab (Heart Hospital) — interventional and diagnostic cardiac catheterization
• Shifts: 4x10-hour day shifts (07:00 – 17:30)
• Call: 8-12 days of call per month; every 4th weekend required (STEMI/vascular call coverage)
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,170 – $2,290 (Competitive travel nursing pay)
• Patient Population: Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
• Charting/EMR: Epic experience preferred

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — New Mexico or Compact; pending accepted if obtained before start
• Minimum 1 year of recent Cath Lab RN or Cardiac RN experience (diagnostic & interventional caths)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• RCIS certification preferred
• Experience with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations, procedural sedation, and STEMI/vascular call coverage
• Epic charting experience preferred
• First-time travel nurses welcome — supportive orientation and travel nurse resources provided

Responsibilities

• Circulate and scrub for diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
• Monitor and manage patients during procedures, including sedation administration and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Respond to STEMI and vascular emergencies as part of the on-call team (STEMI call coverage)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, and Pharmacy
• Document patient care accurately and timely using Epic (EMR)
• Float to like units within scope as needed
