• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM–7:00 AM), every other weekend and holidays as required (night shift nurse)
• Hours per Week: 36 (option for up to 48)
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,840 – $1,940 (competitive travel nurse pay)
• EMR: Meditech
• Scrub Color: Solid Navy
• Parking: Available on site

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama or Compact State (no temporary licenses accepted)
• Associate Degree in Nursing (minimum); BSN preferred
• Current BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross)
• Minimum 1 year recent experience in Med/Surg Telemetry or Trauma Surgical Unit; 18+ months total RN experience preferred
• Experience with cardiac/telemetry monitoring, post-operative care, and trauma patient management
• Willingness to float to other units/hospitals as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to trauma, surgical, orthopedic, and urology patients
• Perform continuous cardiac/telemetry monitoring and respond to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications, IV therapy, wound care, and post-op management following facility protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, hospitalists, surgical teams, and interdisciplinary staff to create individualized care plans
• Document care and clinical assessments accurately using the Meditech EMR system
• Float to other units or facilities as required and support unit staffing needs
• Work scheduled nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
