• Location: Staten Island, NY 10310 — Staten Island telemetery nurse opportunity within the New York City area
• Assignment Type: Travel Nurse (On-site)
• Duration: 13 weeks (short-term assignment)
• Start Date: May 18, 2026
• Shifts per Week: 3
• Shift: 12-hour Nights (Night Shift Telemetry RN)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,610 - $2,740 (competitive pay for travel RNs)

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York (or compact license with NY eligibility)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry nursing experience (cardiac telemetry, EKG rhythm interpretation)
• BLS (AHA) required; ACLS preferred
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills for fast-paced hospital care
• Experience with telemetry monitoring systems and accurate EHR documentation
• Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and respond quickly to changes in patient condition

Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms for patients on the Telemetry unit; identify arrhythmias and escalate appropriately
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as prescribed with attention to cardiac safety
• Perform focused assessments, document interventions, and track patient outcomes in the electronic health record
• Collaborate with physicians, cardiology teams, and allied health professionals to deliver high-quality cardiac care
• Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, discharge instructions, and self-care plans
• Respond promptly to acute changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate interventions per unit protocols
