• Shifts: 12-hour nights (6:30pm – 7:00am) — Night Shift ICU RN

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years recent ICU experience (SICU, CTICU, Trauma ICU, MS ICU, or Neuro ICU)
• Previous travel nursing experience required (travel nurse credentialed)
• Active NY RN license (NURSYS verification required)
• Current AHA ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• CRRT and Prismaflex experience required
• Cardiac/Heart experience highly preferred (CTICU/ cardiovascular surgery exposure)
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR (electronic medical record / Epic experience)
• 2 recent ICU Charge/Manager RN references and specialty skills checklist
• Valid driver’s license with address matching demographics
• Ability to float to all units except Behavioral and ER (unless credentialed)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill patients in a 42-bed ICU (Neuro/Med, CTICU, Surg/Trauma units)
• Use specialty equipment including IABP, CRRT (PRISMA or NxStage), Ventriculostomy, ICP monitoring, and TTM (Artic Sun)
• Manage patients with strokes, sepsis, respiratory failure, CHF, post-STEMI, post-cardiac surgery, trauma, and major post-op care
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (MDs, RT, PT, pharmacy) to optimize patient outcomes
• Float across ICU units as needed while maintaining standards of care
• Complete accurate, timely documentation in EPIC EMR and follow hospital policies and infection control protocols
