• Assignment Type: Travel Contract (Travel RN)

• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 4x10 hour day shifts (06:45 – 17:15)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,000 – $2,100 (estimated weekly pay for travel RN)
• Call Requirements: 7 days per month (including some weekends)
• Unit: Operating Room (13 beds) — perioperative / surgical service
• Patient Ratio: 1:1
• Electronic Health Record: Cerner

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active RN license (Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing)
• Minimum 1 year recent Operating Room RN / perioperative nursing experience
• Robotics and spine surgery experience required (Da Vinci, Mako experience a plus)
• Comfortable with adult and minimal pediatric outpatient populations
• Familiarity with equipment such as Da Vinci Robotics, Mako, Holmium Laser, and Hana table preferred
• Ability to take call as scheduled (including some weekends)
• Must reside at least 60 miles from Hickory, NC to qualify as a travel nurse (travel RN eligibility)
• BLS required; ACLS/PALS as applicable or preferred by facility

Responsibilities / Operating Room RN Duties

• Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care and maintain 1:1 patient ratio in the OR
• Assist with a wide range of surgical procedures, with emphasis on robotics and spine surgery
• Prepare and operate specialty surgical equipment and robotic systems in collaboration with the surgical team
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and perioperative staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation in Cerner EHR and adhere to perioperative protocols
• Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled, including one weekend and 8–9 weekday calls per six-week schedule
• Follow hospital policies and dress code (scrubs provided via hospital scrub machine)
