- Title: Patient Care Coordinator / Cardiac Device Specialist
- Setting: Hospital-based Cardiology Device Clinic
- Location: Doylestown, PA 18901 (Doylestown, Pennsylvania healthcare jobs)
- Schedule: Tuesdays & Wednesdays, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM (10-hour shifts)
- Weekly Hours: 20 hours/week
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $900 – $970
- Contract Duration: 1 year (52 weeks)
- Work Type: On-site / Hospital cardiology role
Key Qualifications (Cardiac Device / CIED Experience)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience with cardiac implantable electronic devices (pacemakers, ICDs, loop recorders)
- Skilled in device interrogations, programming review, and remote monitoring interpretation
- Experience with device programmers and monitoring platforms (Medtronic, CareLink Express, Boston Scientific)
- Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and patient communication skills
- Familiarity with EMR documentation and device transmission workflows
- Certified Cardiac Device Specialist (CCDS) or equivalent certification preferred
- Background in electrophysiology or cardiology device clinic preferred; knowledge of arrhythmia management and device therapy
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform 20–30 in-office cardiac device interrogations daily for pacemakers, ICDs, and loop recorders
- Monitor and review up to 50 remote device transmissions per day using manufacturer monitoring systems
- Analyze device data, identify abnormal trends or alerts, and coordinate appropriate clinical follow-up
- Communicate findings and clinical concerns with electrophysiologists, cardiologists, and the care team
- Coordinate patient outreach for abnormal readings, alerts, or device-related follow-up and education
- Respond to clinical calls related to device monitoring, troubleshooting, and patient device questions
- Document device checks, remote transmission reviews, and patient interactions accurately in the EMR
- Ensure compliance with Heart Rhythm Society (HRS) standards and clinic protocols for device management
- Collaborate with device representatives and clinical staff to maintain clinic workflow and programmer proficiency
