- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,030 – $2,190
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Required: Associate degree in Radiation Therapy or related field
- Required: ARRT (T) certification (registered radiation therapist)
- Required: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Required: Flu vaccine (no exemptions)
- Preferred: Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiation Therapist in a hospital or outpatient radiation oncology setting
- Preferred: Experience with EPIC EMR (1 year+), ARIA, Eclipse (Varian), Siemens systems, and TrueBeam operation
- Other: Ability to float to other qualified units within the hospital system as needed
Responsibilities
- Deliver radiation therapy treatments (external beam therapy, CT simulation) as prescribed by radiation oncologists and according to established protocols
- Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment, including TrueBeam and Varian Eclipse workflows; ensure radiation safety and adherence to ALARA principles
- Perform patient assessments, treatment setup, immobilization, verification, and patient education about treatment plans and side effect management
- Accurately document treatments, patient responses, and treatment details in the EMR (EPIC/ARIA) and departmental treatment records
- Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary radiation oncology team, including therapists, dosimetrists, physicists, nurses, social services, and interpretation services
- Follow infection control procedures, departmental safety protocols, and participate in orientation and required training modules prior to assignment start
- Float to other units as assigned, performing duties within demonstrated competencies and scope of practice
