ICU RN Job Requirements

• Minimum 18 months recent permanent ICU experience required prior to travel (critical care nursing experience)
• Active Registered Nurse license in Ohio or Compact State (license must be in hand at submission)
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification (must be obtained prior to start)
• Epic EMR / Epic charting experience required
• At least two recent references (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in ICU) from the past 12 months
• Must pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation
• COVID-19 and flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill patients in the ICU as a critical care nurse
• Perform continuous patient assessment, monitor hemodynamics, and document patient responses to treatment
• Manage ventilators, administer medications, and perform advanced nursing procedures as clinically indicated
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Provide education and support to patients and families regarding care plans, procedures, and recovery expectations
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic EMR
• Work at least every other holiday as scheduled
