- Setting: Level 2 Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
- Assignment Type: Travel RN / Travel Nurse (ICU)
- Start Date: May 25, 2026
- End Date: August 29, 2026
- Duration: 14 weeks
- Shifts: 12-hour rotating shifts (7a-7p / 7p-7a); variable schedule, every other weekend, holidays, and 2 on-call shifts per 4 weeks
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 – $2,130
Qualifications / Job Requirements
- Active New York State RN license (required)
- Minimum 1 year of recent ICU or critical care nursing experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA/RQI only)
- NIHSS certification
- Basic Coronary Care within 6 months of hire
- CPI certification within 90 days of hire
- Ability to provide care for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Computer literacy; experience with Microsoft Office and EMR systems preferred
ICU RN Responsibilities (Critical Care Nurse)
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to ICU patients across the lifespan
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care and critical care interventions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, case management) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Demonstrate proficiency in critical care procedures and ICU protocols
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR
- Model professionalism, effective communication, and teamwork in a fast-paced ICU environment
- Uphold patient safety, dignity, and respect for all patients and colleagues
