• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,890 – $1,990 (travel nursing pay)

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state-required) — Med/Surg RN or equivalent
• BLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
• ACLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
• Minimum 1 year recent bedside clinical experience in a Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) setting; 2 years highly desired
• Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical judgment skills — ideal for travel nurses and hospital-based RNs

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care as a Med/Surg Registered Nurse in accordance with individualized care plans
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission and develop tailored care plans
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and interdisciplinary team conferences
• Initiate discharge planning and provide patient/family education from day one
• Supervise and provide direction to LPNs, CNAs, and orientees when assigned
• Promote and maintain patient and staff safety at all times
• Communicate changes in patient status to the care team and escalate as needed for complex cases
• Contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment and support clinical best practices
• Assume charge responsibilities as needed after orientation
