Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of bedside clinical experience (LTAC, PCU, or acute care experience preferred)
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
• ACLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience; LTAC or select long-term acute care experience highly desired

Key Responsibilities (LTAC / RN)

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission consistent with LTAC nursing and rehabilitation nursing standards
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record in a timely manner
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and initiate discharge planning from admission to support transitions of care
• Communicate patient status and clinical changes effectively to ensure continuity of care and safe handoffs
• Supervise and provide direction to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees
• Promote patient and employee safety by adhering to hospital guidelines, infection control, and safety protocols
• Contribute to unit team building and maintain a calm, supportive environment in a fast-paced LTAC setting
• Identify and pursue professional growth opportunities in LTAC, PCU, and rehabilitation nursing
