- Shift: 12-hour night shifts (19:00 – 07:00), 3 shifts per week
- Hours per Week: 36
- Start Date: May 18, 2026
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,950 – $2,060
- Weekend: Every other weekend
- Holiday: Expected 1 of 2 major holidays (Memorial Day or July 4th) and surrounding days
- Floating: May float to all ICU floors
- Vaccine Policy: COVID-19 & flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
Minimum Qualifications — SICU RN / Critical Care RN
- Minimum 2 years recent SICU experience (surgical intensive care / critical care)
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (no license hits accepted) — Pennsylvania licensure preferred
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA or ARC only)
- EPIC charting experience required
- TNCC certification preferred; Trauma Level I experience preferred
- Ability to safely care for COVID-positive patients
- Completion of required onboarding modules (approx. 5–6 hours) prior to start
- Facility is tobacco- and fragrance-free
Key Responsibilities — Surgical ICU Nurse / Travel RN
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill surgical patients, including multisystem organ dysfunction and open abdomens
- Manage arterial lines, central lines, ventilators, and titrate vasoactive infusions
- Assist with chest tube insertion/removal and ongoing chest tube management
- Administer blood products, emergency medications, and respond to rapid responses/code situations
- Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs), monitor hemodynamics, and identify dysrhythmias
- Implement isolation precautions and PPE protocols for infection control
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (IV team, PT, RT, pharmacy, physicians) to coordinate patient care
- Float to other ICU units as needed and maintain accurate documentation using EPIC
