Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 - $2,250
• Location: Albany, NY (12208) — travel nurse assignment in the Capital Region
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) — night shift pediatric RN
• Hours per Week: 36
• Employment Type: Travel / Contract (Travel RN, Travel Nurse)

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of pediatric inpatient experience required—pediatric med/surg background preferred
• Pediatric Hematology/Oncology experience preferred (strong plus for pediatric oncology nursing jobs)
• Comfortable with high flow nasal cannula, trach care, g-tube and j-tube management
• BLS and PALS certifications required
• EPIC EMR experience required (EPIC charting for pediatric care)
• Adherence to dress code: navy blue scrubs required

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients on a Med/Surg unit
• Monitor and manage clinical needs including high flow nasal cannula, trach, g-tube, and j-tube care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, respiratory therapy, case management) to develop and implement patient care plans
• Accurate, timely documentation in EPIC EMR for all patient assessments and interventions
• Maintain a safe, family-centered environment and support parents and caregivers
• Follow hospital policies, pediatric nursing protocols, and unit-specific guidelines (including navy blue scrubs)
