Job Details – Travel Nurse / Telemetry RN

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,160 – $2,270 (travel nurse pay)
• Location: Weirton, WV 26062 (Weirton, West Virginia – Northern WV nursing jobs)
• Setting: Acute Care – Telemetry Float Pool (Telemetry RN / Float RN)
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (travel nursing assignment)
• Shift: 12 Hour Nights; weekends as scheduled (night shift telemetry nurse)
• Hours: 36 hours per week (guaranteed)
• Self-Scheduling: Submit your ideal schedule; flexibility required (travel nurse scheduling)
• Orientation: 1 day orientation + 1 day with preceptor

Job Requirements – Telemetry / Critical Care RN

• Minimum 5 years of RN experience required (experienced registered nurse preferred)
• Prefer at least 1 year of ICU or ED experience (critical care or emergency nursing experience)
• Active RN license (must provide current RN license)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required (American Heart Association)
• Comfortable floating to units with patient ratios from 1:2 up to 1:10
• Flexible, adaptable, and strong clinical problem-solving skills
• Multi-functional expertise and ability to manage critical drips (e.g., heparin)
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips (telemetry monitoring skills)
• Must submit a copy of unexpired driver’s license

Responsibilities – Telemetry Float RN

• Provide high-quality patient care across multiple units (CCU, IMC, Med-Surg, Skilled Care, ED) based on individual RN skillset
• Manage patient assignments with varying acuity and patient ratios as a Telemetry RN/Float RN
• Administer and titrate critical drips and IV infusions per protocols
• Read, interpret, and document telemetry strips and cardiac rhythms
• Perform ADLs, vitals, bathing, toileting, feeding, repositioning, answering call lights, and blood glucose checks
• Troubleshoot respiratory equipment (ventilators, BiPAP, CPAP, high-flow oxygen)
• Collaborate effectively with charge nurses, physicians, and patient care technicians
• Maintain accurate charting using the Cerner electronic health record (EHR) system
• Adhere to facility dress code (navy blue scrubs)
