- Setting: 5 West – Med/Surg, Oncology, Neuro, Palliative Care (41-bed unit)
- Contract Type: Travel Nurse (13 weeks)
- Start Date: May 20, 2026
- End Date: August 19, 2026
- Shift: 12-hour nights (18:30–07:00)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,680 – $1,770
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state requirements for travel nursing)
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years recent acute care nursing experience
- Proficiency in assessment, IV insertion, Foley insertion, and nasogastric tube (NGT) placement
- Ability to float to other units as needed
- Experience with Alaris IV pumps and EPIC EMR preferred
- Med/Surg and oncology experience preferred
- Strong communication, clinical curiosity, and commitment to patient-centered care
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality oncology and med/surg nursing care on a busy inpatient unit
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and implement individualized care plans
- Insert, manage, and troubleshoot IVs, Foleys, and nasogastric tubes
- Monitor, document, and communicate patient status using EPIC EMR
- Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
- Support unit staffing by floating to other clinical areas as required
- Maintain a safe, compassionate, and supportive environment for patients and staff
