• Role: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) / Perioperative Nurse
• Setting: Level 1 Trauma Center — high-acuity surgical services
• Start Date: May 25, 2026
• End Date: August 22, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shifts: 3x12-hour rotating shifts (days/evenings/nights), includes on-call, callback, floating, holidays, and weekends as needed
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,040 – $2,150
• Openings: 6 Operating Room RN positions available

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State (required)
• Minimum 2 years of recent operating room experience; Level 1 trauma experience preferred
• Proven ability to scrub and circulate as an OR nurse / perioperative RN
• Telemetry experience
• BLS (American Heart Association) required; ACLS preferred
• Experience with specialty cases preferred: transplants, plastics/reconstructive, craniotomy, and strong orthopedics background
• Comfort with advanced technology and robotics in the OR (e.g., DaVinci)

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care to a diverse patient population across specialties: orthopedics, general surgery, plastics, urology, cardiac, neuro, vascular, ophthalmic, GYN, ENT, thoracic, oral-maxillofacial, and trauma
• Scrub and circulate for a wide range of surgical procedures, ensuring sterile technique and patient safety as an experienced operating room nurse
• Participate in transplant surgeries (liver, kidney, heart) as part of a multidisciplinary surgical team
• Respond to on-call and callback needs; float to other units when required to support patient care
• Maintain high standards of patient safety, quality outcomes, and perioperative nursing best practices in a fast-paced Level 1 Trauma Center
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical techs, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
