Travel Nurse Job Details
- Location: Big Sky, Montana (Zip: 59716)
- Assignment Type: Travel Nurse / Travel RN (Emergency Room)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 22, 2026 – July 22, 2026)
- Shifts: Rotating days & nights, 3 x 12-hour shifts per week, every other weekend
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250 – $2,370
Emergency Room RN Requirements
- Current Montana Registered Nurse (RN) license required (Montana nursing jobs / Montana travel nursing)
- American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications
- National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification
- American Heart Association PALS or ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
- Trauma Nursing Care Coordinator (TNCC) certification
- At least 1 year of emergency nursing (ED) or critical care experience required
- Ability to practice modified primary nursing and willingness to work rotating shifts
- Traveler must live at least 90 miles away from the facility to be considered
Emergency Nursing Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality emergency nursing care in the Emergency Department and Med-Surg Adult units as an ER RN / Emergency Nurse
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Collect and analyze comprehensive patient assessment data to determine nursing diagnoses and interventions
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care and measurable expected outcomes for patients
- Promote patient safety and maintain a safe clinical environment for patients and staff, including stroke and trauma protocols
- Participate in ongoing education and competency training related to stroke care, trauma, and emergency nursing best practices
- Demonstrate sound clinical judgment, emotional intelligence, and professionalism in a fast-paced ED environment
- Adhere to hospital policies and protocols and provide leadership and mentorship to peers when appropriate
