Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years recent experience in neuro nursing or acute neuro unit (neurosurgery, neurology, stroke care)
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• AHA BLS certification required
• NIHSS and ACLS certifications required
• Comfortable working night shifts and in a fast-paced acute care environment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert neuro nursing care for post-op neurosurgery, neurology, ENT, and general surgery patients
• Perform comprehensive neurological assessments, monitor neuro status, and recognize changes in condition
• Manage post-operative care, including pain control, wound monitoring, and neuro checks
• Document patient conditions accurately and maintain compliance with hospital policies
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, neuro surgeons, therapists) to coordinate care and discharge planning
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and provide bedside patient education and support
