• Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg / Acute GI Medicine Unit
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,460 – $1,540
• Location: Atlanta, GA 30342 (Metro Atlanta healthcare jobs)
• Setting: Acute GI Medicine Unit (Med/Surg) – hospital nursing
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (5/18/2026 – 8/15/2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00pm – 7:00am; schedule varies) – night shift RN
• Shifts Per Week: 3 shifts per week
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Employment Type: Travel Nurse / Travel Contract (on-site)
• Note: No local candidates within 50 miles

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience; Acute GI Medicine experience preferred
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• NIH Stroke Certification required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and documentation (EMR) skills

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care to adults in the Acute GI Medicine Unit (Med/Surg RN duties)
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions, responses to treatments, and progress
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately per provider orders
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families on diagnosis, procedures, recovery, and discharge planning
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive clinical environment for patients and staff
