Travel Cath Lab RN — 13-week contract at a Level I Trauma Center in New Haven, CT (06511). Must have ACLS/BLS, Epic experience, and 2+ years cath lab RN experience.

- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,750 – $2,890

- Facility Type: Short Term Acute Care | Level I Trauma Center
- Contract Length: 13 weeks (travel assignment)
- Start Date: May 15, 2026
- Shift: Day shifts (4x10-hour, 07:30 – 18:00); shifts may include 07:30 – 16:00 or 07:30 – 20:00
- On-Call: Required (typically once per week, including nights, weekends, and holidays)
- Hours Per Week: 40
- Charting / EMR: Epic (experience with Epic preferred)
- Patient Population: Adults & Geriatrics
- Local Candidates: Not accepted (within 75 miles)
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab Registered Nurse (Cath Lab RN) experience; 1.5 years considered if from a Level I trauma center or large hospital
- Active Connecticut RN license required (must apply prior to submittal; allow 15–21 business days for issuance)
- Travel nursing experience required (travel RN preferred)
- Certifications: ACLS and BLS current
- Required clinical skills: blood product administration, implanted port care & maintenance, IV infusion pumps, end-tidal CO2 monitoring
- Experience with Epic EMR/charting system
- One professional reference required
- Influenza vaccine required (no exemptions)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct peri-procedural patient care in the Cath Lab, including pre- and post-procedure assessments and patient education
- Assist with cardiac catheterizations, diagnostic angiography, angioplasty, stent placements, and pacemaker/ICD procedures
- Administer emergency medications, manage procedural sedation, and respond to code/rapid response events as needed
- Manage IV therapy, blood product administration, and implanted ports during procedures
- Continuously monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, hemodynamics, and end-tidal CO2 during interventions
- Participate in on-call rotation to ensure 24/7 coverage for urgent cardiac cases
- Collaborate with interventional cardiology teams, IV therapy, respiratory therapy, radiology, and rapid response teams
- Maintain strict infection prevention standards and adhere to isolation precautions
