This 13-week travel nurse role provides hemodialysis and renal care across multiple offsite dialysis units, primarily at Ahuja and Portage facilities. Travel Dialysis RN Job Details — Cleveland, OH
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (May 10, 2026 – August 8, 2026)
- Location: Cleveland, OH — University Circle area (44106); travel dialysis positions, offsite units
- Setting: Offsite Dialysis Units (primarily Ahuja and Portage facilities)
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,120 – $2,230
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Shift: 10-hour days, 07:00 AM – 05:30 PM
- Schedule: Variable weekly schedule; every other Saturday required (including on-call)
- Type: Travel Nurse, On-Site, Hemodialysis / Nephrology RN
Required Qualifications — Dialysis RN / Nephrology Nursing
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Ohio
- Minimum 1 year dialysis RN experience (hemodialysis / renal care)
- Reliable transportation and willingness to float to other dialysis facilities as needed
- Completion of all required onboarding health screenings and background checks (MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Tdap, Fit Test, Physical/Health Statement, 2-Step PPD or IGRA, etc.)
- Successful completion of skills checklist and competency exams for dialysis procedures and equipment
- Driver's License or State ID required
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association preferred
Dialysis RN Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis care to patients in accordance with facility protocols and standards
- Monitor and assess patient status before, during, and after dialysis treatments, recognizing changes in clinical condition
- Operate and troubleshoot dialysis machines and related equipment; adhere to infection control and safety practices
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (nephrologists, social work, dietitians) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR) and maintain accurate treatment records
- Participate in on-call rotation and provide coverage at alternate facilities as needed
- Educate patients and families on dialysis procedures, vascular access care, medication management, and ongoing renal care
