Job Details

• Location: Hampstead, NH 03841 – Southern New Hampshire near the seacoast and scenic New England countryside. (New Hampshire nursing jobs / NH travel nurse)
• Assignment Type: Travel Contract (Travel RN / Travel Nurse)
• Start Date: May 25, 2026
• End Date: August 22, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 11.5-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Schedule: Every weekend (Saturday, Sunday, Monday)
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,500 – $2,630 (competitive pay for travel RN positions)

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active RN license in New Hampshire or a nurse licensure compact (NLC) state
• Minimum 1 year recent experience as a Registered Nurse with pediatric psychiatric / adolescent behavioral health experience
• Phlebotomy experience; must be comfortable performing pediatric/adolescent blood draws
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification required or equivalent crisis intervention training
• Ability to work the required weekend schedule (Sat, Sun, Mon)
• Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills; experience with medication administration and behavioral safety protocols

Key Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate general and specialized nursing care to pediatric and adolescent patients in an inpatient psychiatric setting
• Administer medications, monitor effects, and document treatments per provider orders
• Perform phlebotomy and other necessary nursing procedures for children and adolescents
• Assess patients using the nursing process: plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, social workers, and the interdisciplinary treatment team to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans
• Apply crisis prevention, de-escalation, and safety planning strategies in behavioral health situations
• Uphold facility policies, best practice models, and the mission to deliver high-quality pediatric mental health care
