Mother/Baby Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nurse in Vail, CO. 13-week travel assignment for experienced postpartum and labor & delivery RNs offering a chance to work in a Level 2 Nursery while enjoying the Rocky Mountain lifestyle.
Job Details – Travel Nursing Opportunity
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,700 - $2,840 (competitive travel nurse pay)
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
- Hours per Week: Scheduled for 36 hours per week; guaranteed minimum of 24 hours per week
- Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (days 07:00-19:00 or nights 19:00-07:00)
- Location: Vail, CO 81657 – Vail, Colorado travel nursing assignment; enjoy skiing, hiking, and a vibrant mountain community
- Type: Travel, On-Site (travel nursing job, Mother/Baby)
Required Qualifications – Registered Nurse (RN)
- Minimum of 1 year clinical experience as a Registered Nurse; experience in mother/baby, postpartum, labor & delivery, or neonatal/Level 2 Nursery preferred
- Associate Nursing Degree or higher
- Current RN license in Colorado or a valid Nurse Licensure Compact (compact state)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
Primary Responsibilities – Mother/Baby and Postpartum Care
- Provide expert, compassionate, and individualized nursing care for antepartum, laboring, recovery, postpartum patients, and newborns, including Level 2 Nursery care
- Deliver lactation education and breastfeeding support to families; promote family-centered care and patient education
- Collaborate with obstetric providers, neonatologists, and interprofessional staff to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Manage daily patient flow, triage admissions and consults, and prioritize patient safety and satisfaction
- Delegate appropriately in accordance with Colorado nursing statutes and facility policy
- Administer medications, perform treatments, and assist with procedures following safety protocols
- Coordinate care across departments and external facilities, advocating for patients and families
- Model Just Culture principles and uphold organizational values in all clinical interactions
