• Assignment Type: Travel Nurse (Registered Nurse)
• Contract Duration: 6 weeks (April 27, 2026 – June 8, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights; average 36 hours/week
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,090 - $2,200
• Weekend Requirement: Weekends required; may be asked to work more than every other weekend
• Floating: May float to similar units as needed (ortho, surgical, med/surg)

Key Qualifications (Med/Surg / Orthopedic RN)

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state license required for travel)
• BLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required (NIHSS must be completed prior to start)
• ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years orthopedic experience required (orthopedic nurse or ortho surgical experience)
• Experience in a large teaching facility is required (teaching hospital, trauma center)
• EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years required (electronic medical record proficiency)
• Prior travel nurse experience preferred; first-time travel nurses must have 4 years strong Med/Surg with ortho experience across multiple large teaching/trauma centers
• Reliable personal or rental vehicle required (public transportation is not accessible); vehicles should have all-season or snow tires November–April
• Complete employment history required (include bed count, EMR, facility type); explain any employment gaps over 30 days
• COVID and flu declinations accepted with proof or declination documentation

Responsibilities (Registered Nurse - Med/Surg / Orthopedics)

• Deliver high-quality patient care on the Ortho Surgical Med/Surg unit (Miller 6) — postoperative orthopedic and medical-surgical patients
• Utilize EPIC EMR for accurate documentation, medication administration, and patient management
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in a large teaching hospital environment (surgeons, PT/OT, case management)
• Float to similar units as needed and provide flexible clinical support
• Participate in night and weekend rotations as scheduled
• Maintain patient safety, fall prevention, and post-op protocols for orthopedic patients
