Job Details

• Location: Rochester, NY 14642 (Upstate New York / Finger Lakes region)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (May 18, 2026 – August 15, 2026)
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,070 – $2,180
• Hours per Week: 36
• Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (Days/Evenings/Nights); every other weekend; holidays/on-call/charge as needed
• Setting: Med/Surg Float Pool (multiple acute care units) — ideal for Med/Surg RN, Telemetry RN, and float pool nursing roles
• Employment Type: Travel / Travel Nursing Job

Job Requirements

• Active RN license in the state of New York (NY license only)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg nursing experience
• Telemetry experience required — experience monitoring and interpreting cardiac telemetry
• BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and experience floating between units
• Comfortable in fast-paced acute care and working with interdisciplinary teams

Responsibilities

• Deliver competent, evidence-based nursing care to patients across multiple acute care units (trauma, general surgery, neurology, orthopedics)
• Monitor telemetry, assess patient status, and intervene per established protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Assume expanded roles as needed, including charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member
• Participate in quality improvement and research initiatives to support clinical excellence
• Maintain flexibility with rotating shifts, every other weekend, and holiday coverage as required
