• Shift: 12-hour nights (3 shifts per week) — RN night shift
• Hours per Week: 36

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state-specific licensure as required)
• BLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
• ACLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
• Minimum 2 years of bedside clinical experience (LTAC, acute care, or similar preferred)
• Experience with complex, extended-care patients preferred (ventilator care, wound care, rehab support)

Registered Nurse Responsibilities — LTAC Night Shift

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission and develop individualized care plans using the nursing process
• Provide direct bedside care for medically complex, long-term acute care patients, supporting rehabilitation and recovery goals
• Supervise and provide direction to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees; delegate appropriately
• Promote patient and employee safety by adhering to facility policies, infection control, and safety guidelines
• Initiate discharge planning and patient/family teaching from admission through transition of care
• Communicate changes in patient status to interdisciplinary care team members to ensure continuity and safety
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in a timely manner
• Maintain equipment, supplies, and training needs; coordinate with management for clinical resources
• Assume charge nurse responsibilities as requested following orientation and competency validation
• Engage in continuing education and professional development to maintain clinical competence
