Job Details

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Travel RN job)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,110 – $2,220
• Setting: Acute care — Stepdown/Med-Surg Unit (29 beds)
• Shifts: 12-hour nights (7:00pm – 7:30am), Friday–Sunday or Saturday–Monday
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
• Start Date: 4/23/2026
• End Date: 7/23/2026

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (willing to wait for licensure if needed)
• BLS certification (AHA required)
• EPIC charting experience is required
• At least 1 year of recent acute care or stepdown/med-surg RN experience preferred (new and experienced nurses welcome)
• Comfortable managing nurse-to-patient ratios: 3:1 (stepdown) or 6:1 (med-surg)

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population in a flexible unit serving both floor and stepdown patients
• Perform patient assessments, monitoring, and documentation using EPIC (electronic health records)
• Administer and titrate IV drips including heparin, insulin, anti-hypertensives, antiarrhythmics, phenobarbital, ketamine, and opioid PCAs
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including charge RNs, house supervisors, and clinical associates
• Use advanced respiratory support when needed (CPAP, BiPAP, HiFlow, ventilators — stepdown only)
• Monitor telemetry and cardiac patients as part of the stepdown scope of care
• Float to other floor/stepdown units as needed and follow unit dress code: royal blue and white scrubs
