Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800 – $1,890 (Travel RN pay)
• Location: Stuart, FL (34994) — Treasure Coast; travel nursing assignment may float to nearby hospitals
• Setting: Short Term Acute Care, Teaching Hospital
• Unit: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) / Open Heart ICU
• Contract Duration: 13-week travel contract (Start: 5/18/2026, End: 8/17/2026)
• Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19:00 – 07:30)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Travel Assignment: Float to Martin North, Martin South, and Tradition hospitals within 20 miles as needed
• Scrub Color: White

CVICU RN Job Requirements

• Minimum 18 months recent CVICU or Open Heart ICU experience (2 years preferred) — critical care nursing experience required
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida
• BLS and ACLS certifications required at time of submission
• NIHSS certification (must obtain prior to start)
• EPIC electronic charting experience
• Nicotine-free (negative cotinine drug screen required)
• Ability to float within scope to Martin North, Martin South, and Tradition hospitals
• First-time travel nurses welcome
• Submit all requested time off (RTO) up front
• 2 professional references from direct supervisor/manager required
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)

Key CVICU Responsibilities

• Provide expert critical care to cardiovascular patients, including post-open heart and complex cardiac surgery recovery
• Manage mechanical ventilation and advanced cardiac support devices (Swan-Ganz, IABP, Impella)
• Monitor and interpret hemodynamics, arterial lines, cardiac drips, and EKGs
• Administer continuous IV sedation, titrate vasoactive drips, and manage BiPAP/CPAP
• Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs), perform suctioning (ETT, NT), and maintain isolation precautions/PPE
• Complete EKG and pharmacology competency tests during orientation (study materials provided)
• Prioritize timely completion of onboarding modules and compliance tasks
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (cardiology, anesthesia, respiratory therapy) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
