Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Nights, Saginaw, MI | 13-week contract | Neuro PCU experience required. Join our team as a PCU RN on nights and make an immediate impact in progressive care nursing.

Job Details

• Location: Saginaw, MI 48607 (Saginaw, Michigan travel nursing job)
• Position: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (PCU RN) – Night Shift
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (May 25, 2026 – August 24, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00pm – 7:15am)
• Hours: 36 hours per week; guaranteed 36 hours; every other weekend/holiday required
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,930 – $2,030
• Type: Travel Contract / Travel Nurse opportunity
• Floating: May float to other PCU/Med-Surg floors as needed (Med-Surg / Progressive Care experience helpful)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience; Neuro PCU experience required (neurology-focused progressive care)
• Recent travel work history highly preferred for travel RN / contract nursing roles
• Active Michigan RN license (LARA and/or Nursys must indicate active status)
• Active American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications
• Active NIHSS certification
• Current skills checklist (within 1 year) relevant to PCU
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years
• Ability to work every other weekend and scheduled holidays (night shift availability)

Progressive Care Nurse Responsibilities

• Perform thorough patient assessments and deliver skilled nursing care consistent with physician orders and evidence-based progressive care nursing practices
• Provide direct patient care including medication administration, treatments, patient education, responding to call lights, assisting with transfers, and alarm response
• Evaluate and document effectiveness of treatment plans and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to update care plans
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and hospital policies
• Serve as a team leader/member and clinical resource; delegate and oversee support staff as needed
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other clinicians to establish patient-centered goals and outcomes
