• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,200 - $2,320

• Start Date: May 18, 2026
• Shift: Night shift, 3 x 12-hour shifts per week (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend required
• Employment Type: Travel Contract / Travel Nurse position
• Role Focus: Labor & Delivery, maternal-child, postpartum and newborn care

Job Requirements (Qualifications)

• Minimum 2 years recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (OB nursing, L&D clinical skills)
• Active RN license in Kansas or a valid multistate/compact RN license at time of submission
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required
• Charge nurse experience preferred (leadership/critical thinking in L&D)
• COVID-19 and flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• 2 professional references required
• First-time travelers not accepted (experienced travel nurses only)

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based care to mothers and newborns in Labor & Delivery and delivery suite settings
• Manage triage, labor assessment, fetal monitoring, delivery support, and immediate newborn care
• Float to Med-Surg and ER as needed to assist with swing bed, medical patients, or emergency department duties
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (OB/GYN, neonatal, anesthesia) to ensure optimal maternal and neonatal outcomes
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) and adhere to hospital policies and protocols
• Participate in block scheduling, provide weekend coverage, and assist with orientation/training of staff when requested
