• Role Type: Travel Nurse / Travel RN (13-week contract)
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940 – $2,040
• Location: Columbus, OH 43210 – Columbus nursing jobs / Ohio travel nursing
• Unit: Surgical PCU – 19 North
• Shift: Night Shift (3x12-hour shifts, 19:00 – 07:30)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Start Date: June 1, 2026
• End Date: August 31, 2026

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Compact RN or Ohio state RN license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU / step-down or telemetry nursing experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Must be able to pass the facility telemetry competency test
• Experience monitoring telemetry patients and managing dysrhythmias
• EPIC electronic health record (EHR) charting experience required
• Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Two professional references (one from manager/director or formal leadership; Charge RN acceptable for second reference)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a surgical progressive care / step-down unit
• Monitor and interpret telemetry data; promptly identify and manage dysrhythmias
• Administer medications, perform IV starts, lab draws, wound care, and manage surgical drains
• Perform patient and family education on post-surgical care and recovery plans
• Accurately document care using EPIC and maintain compliance with hospital policies
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV therapy, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• May float to other units as needed to support patient care and unit staffing
