Location: Westerville, Ohio (43081) — Columbus area nursing job
Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (May 17, 2026 – August 15, 2026)
Shift: 12-hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Hours per Week: 36
Employment Type: Travel Nurse, On-site

Job Requirements / Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Ohio
Minimum 1 year recent Labor & Delivery (L&D) or perinatal nursing experience
BLS (AHA) certification required
Completion of specialty-specific competency testing and skills checklist
Required immunizations: COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Varicella
Physical/Health Statement and respirator fit test required for onboarding
2-step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/T-spot) required
Successful completion of background check and drug screen
Comfortable with maternal-fetal monitoring and electronic fetal monitoring (EFM)

Responsibilities

Provide expert Labor & Delivery nursing care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and postpartum
Monitor maternal and fetal health, interpret fetal heart tracings, and escalate concerns to physicians and midwives
Assist physicians and midwives during vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and obstetric procedures
Administer medications, IV therapy, and emergency interventions per protocol
Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care
Maintain accurate patient records, documentation, and effective handoffs in the electronic medical record
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (obstetrics, pediatrics, anesthesia) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
