Job Details

Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,890 - $1,990 (Travel RN pay)
Location: Westerville, OH 43081 (Columbus-area nursing jobs)
Setting: Labor & Delivery Unit (L&D, obstetrics)
Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 17, 2026 – August 15, 2026)
Shift: 12-hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Hours per Week: 36
Employment Type: Travel Nurse / On-site Registered Nurse (RN)

Required Qualifications (Labor & Delivery RN)

Active RN license in the state of Ohio (Registered Nurse)
Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery (L&D) or obstetrics experience
BLS certification (required)
COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Varicella vaccinations, and 2-Step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/T-Spot) required for onboarding
Fit test and current physical/health statement required for onboarding
Successful completion of background check and competency testing

Key Responsibilities (L&D / Perinatal Nursing)

Provide compassionate, evidence-based care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods
Monitor maternal and fetal status, interpret vital signs and fetal heart tracings, administer medications, and assist with procedures
Collaborate closely with obstetricians, midwives, neonatal team, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal outcomes
Perform newborn assessments and support immediate postpartum care and breastfeeding initiation
Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, postpartum recovery, and newborn care
Maintain accurate documentation in the medical record and uphold patient confidentiality and safety standards
