- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,000 - $2,100 (Competitive travel nursing pay)

- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour nights (18:45 - 07:15), 3 shifts per week (option for 4x12s)
- Start Date: May 18, 2026
- Patient Ratio: 1:4
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital – Level I Trauma Center – Magnet Facility (high-quality cardiac care)
- Charting: Cerner (experience preferred)
Minimum Qualifications / Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of recent Cardiac Stepdown, IMC, PCU, telemetry or related experience
- Active Illinois RN license (required at submission) — travel RN candidates in Illinois encouraged to apply
- BLS and NIHSS required; ACLS preferred
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Experience with telemetry, neuro stepdown, and cardiac monitoring
- Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
- Must be able to care for ventilated patients and manage tracheostomies
- Strong skills in IV therapy, phlebotomy, wound care, wound vac management, and rapid response
- Availability to work 2 out of 3 major holidays during contract
Core Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to adult patients in a Cardiac Stepdown/IMC/PCU unit
- Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias and continuous telemetry monitoring
- Care for post-cardiac angiogram, MI, cardiac cath, and post-operative cardiac surgery patients
- Manage feeding tubes, ventilators, tracheostomies, and other respiratory support devices
- Administer blood products, cardiac and vasoactive drips, and assist with procedural sedation
- Perform wound care, wound vac management, and isolation precautions following facility protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including PT, RT, pharmacy, case management and social services
- Float to other units as needed to support patient care and unit staffing
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Cerner and ensure compliance with hospital standards
