This 13-week travel nursing contract places you in a coastal community known for its beaches and relaxed lifestyle. You'll work in a modern short-term acute care facility providing specialized interventional radiology care and floating to nearby hospitals as needed.

Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,870 - $1,970 (competitive travel nursing pay)
• Location: Vero Beach, FL (32960) – targeting candidates searching for Vero Beach, FL travel nurse jobs and Florida nursing jobs
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (June 2, 2026 – September 1, 2026)
• Shift: Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts (07:00 - 17:30)
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Employment Type: Travel Nurse / Travel RN
• On-Call: Required; must respond to the hospital within 30 minutes when on call
• Float: Will float to all 3 hospitals within 20 miles (Martin North, South, Tradition)
• Orientation: 16 hours
• Scrub Color: White (required for this facility)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 18 months recent Interventional Radiology RN experience (2 years preferred) – strong IR/vascular experience a plus
• Active Registered Nurse license (pending license accepted) – open to out-of-state travel nurses
• BLS and ACLS certifications required at time of submission
• NIHSS certification required prior to start
• Nicotine-free (facility requires negative nicotine drug screen)
• First-time travelers accepted – ideal for travel nurses entering IR/vascular roles
• Must complete time-sensitive pre-start modules
• Charting experience required (EPIC electronic health record experience preferred)
• 2 references from direct supervisor/manager required
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)

Key Responsibilities

• Circulate and assist with Interventional Radiology procedures; provide patient care in pre-procedure and recovery phases
• Perform and assist with procedures including angioplasty, carotid stenting, extremity angiography, sheath removal/monitoring, and vascular closure systems
• Respond to on-call duties within 30 minutes and float to nearby hospitals as needed within scope of practice
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, perform EKGs, and assess/prevent pressure injuries
• Maintain radiation and laser safety standards and adhere to IR unit protocols
• Utilize Richmond Agitation-Sedation Scale and sedation monitoring as appropriate
• Complete EKG and pharmacology competency tests during orientation (study materials provided)
• Document patient care accurately using the EPIC charting system and maintain clear communication with multidisciplinary teams
