• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (May 18, 2026 – August 16, 2026)
• Shift: 4x10 hour day shifts (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM); 40 hours/week
• Setting: Primary assignment at PMC with willingness to float to Main campus OR as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in New Mexico or current Compact state license (Registered Nurse)
• BLS Certification via AHA (required)
• ACLS Certification via AHA (required)
• Minimum 1 year of experience in an Operating Room, perioperative setting, or related surgical nursing specialty
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Ability and willingness to float between facilities as staffing needs require (flexible travel nurse)

Responsibilities (Operating Room / Perioperative Nursing)

• Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation)
• Deliver routine and complex surgical patient care as an OR RN, assisting in perioperative management
• Administer medications and treatments per protocol; monitor for side effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, intraoperative care, and post-operative instructions accurately in the medical record
• Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families; provide patient- and family-centered education
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on procedures, perioperative expectations, and post-operative care
• Delegate and assign tasks to other care providers as appropriate while maintaining OR safety and sterile technique
• Remain flexible to stay beyond scheduled hours if cases run past block time; support surgical team needs
