Join a dynamic surgical team in beautiful Santa Fe, New Mexico! We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) for a 13-week travel assignment (May 18, 2026 – August 16, 2026). This is an excellent perioperative nursing job for surgical nurses who provide both routine and complex care in a state-of-the-art facility. - Assignment Length: 13 weeks (May 18, 2026 – August 16, 2026)
- Shift: 4x10 hour day shifts (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM); 40 hours/week
- Setting: Primary assignment at PMC with willingness to float to Main campus OR as needed

Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in New Mexico or current Compact state license (Registered Nurse)
- BLS Certification via AHA (required)
- ACLS Certification via AHA (required)
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an Operating Room, perioperative setting, or related surgical nursing specialty
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Ability and willingness to float between facilities as staffing needs require (flexible travel nurse)
Responsibilities (Operating Room / Perioperative Nursing)
- Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation)
- Deliver routine and complex surgical patient care as an OR RN, assisting in perioperative management
- Administer medications and treatments per protocol; monitor for side effects and effectiveness
- Document patient history, symptoms, medications, intraoperative care, and post-operative instructions accurately in the medical record
- Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families; provide patient- and family-centered education
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on procedures, perioperative expectations, and post-operative care
- Delegate and assign tasks to other care providers as appropriate while maintaining OR safety and sterile technique
- Remain flexible to stay beyond scheduled hours if cases run past block time; support surgical team needs
